Jessica Alba’s film demons no match for pregnancy food cravings
Jessica Alba battles demons in her new horror movie The Eye, but the six-month-pregnant Hollywood actress says she turns into “Satan” if she does not satisfy her own food cravings.

Alba does not have one simple craving.

The 26-year-old craves food.

Any type of food.

“Every couple of hours I turn into Satan if I don’t eat something,” Alba laughed during an interview in Los Angeles.

Wearing a red empire-waisted Gucci dress that exposes a slight baby bump, Alba believes “the gods answered my prayers” when she became pregnant to fiance Cash Warren last year.

The couple met while making the original Fantastic Four film four years ago.

“I was in shock at first,” Alba said when she first saw the positive pregnancy test.

“But we’re so happy.

“My family, everyone, are just thrilled.

“It all seems to be perfect timing.

“Everything fell into place the way it was meant to.”

High-jinks aplenty as Jessica reunites with her ‘Love Guru’ Mike
Working with comedians obviously keeps you on your toes. Expectant Jessica Alba certainly gave as good as she got when she joined pal Mike Myers this week at a screening of their new movie The Love Guru at a Las Vegas film conference.

The cheeky Canadian funnyman couldn’t resist scoring a laugh at the expense of Jessica – who is due to welcome her first child with fiancé Cash Warren this summer. As the Fantastic Four actress, who was showing off her baby bump in a figure hugging ensemble, joined him on stage to introduce the Bollywood-meets-hockey comedy, Mike joked she was the mother of his child.

Quick as a shot Jessica, 26, quipped back with the truth, reminding him that someone might omit to check their facts and print the statement as true.

There were definitely no hard feelings, though. The pair - who play unlikely on-screen lovers in the film - were later spotted in a warm hug as they attended another screening at the convention.

Alba has eye for the hard yard
Jessica Alba learned a little something about acting “discipline” when she did that TV show that made her a star, James Cameron’s Dark Angel.

“Three-hour-long workouts, every day, for two years,” she says of the 2000-2002 sci-fi series that had her playing a super-buff super warrior, all curves and spandex.

Tough? Sure. But that was nothing compared to what she had to put herself through for her latest, The Eye.

She plays a blind violinist who has her sight restored, only to see dead people in addition to the living ones.

She had to be convincingly musical. She had to be convincingly blind.

“I’ve never done anything this hard in my life,” says Alba, 26.

“Every orchestra musician I talked with told me, ‘Oh, it’s the hardest instrument to play’ - and they were right.

“Everything was a challenge, from the positioning of the violin on my neck to bowing. And I’m having to learn to do this with my eyes closed!”

For the fourth Alba movie to come out in the past 12 months, she had to find a little prep time.
